The management of Novotel Hotel announced that it has re-branded the hotel to Accra City Hotel.
According to the four star hotel the move ‘is to enable us fully concentrate on developing a first rate Ghanaian international hotel brand.
The rebranding which took effect on January, 1st January, 2016 will allow the hotel to maintain its leadership position in the market, while attracting many business travel guests from around the world.
The hotel incorporated in 1986, according to a statement from its Board Chairman Emmanuel Folson is Ghana’s first international hotel.
The hotel intends to refurbish its guest rooms, lobby and other public areas this year to increase guest comfort and choice significantly, the statement stated.
The hotel over the years has seen some fierce competition from other hotels stationed close to it. It currently faces competition from Movenpick hotel and the newly constructed Kempinski hotel.
