MTN Ghana has announced the successful completion of the upgrade of its Mobile Money platform to the Ericsson Converged Wallet solution.
In line with MTN’s mission to make customers’ lives a whole lot brighter, the new platform willprovide robust services to MTN Mobile Money customers and enable greater stability and flexibility for users.
Commenting on the upgrade, the Senior Manager of MTN Mobile Money Commercial, Eli Hini, stated that the upgrade comes with added benefits that will improve the Mobile Money customer experience.
He said, “The successful rollout of this upgrade took a lot of work and planning, but MTN was focused on completing a complex migration in order to enhance the experience of our customers. The migration to the Ericsson platform reaffirms MTN’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
He added, “With this new platform, transaction processes will be faster, wrong transactions can be reversed more quickly, money transfer tokens may now be received directly on other networks and there is easy and faster integration with third party businesses.”
Noting that Mobile Money services had been temporarily suspended to complete the migration, Eli Hini thanked customers for their patience during the interruption and gave the assurance thatall MTN Mobile Money services are working after the upgrade and all MTN Mobile Money customer transactions are being processed on the new platform.
With the upgrade and further enhancement of MTN Mobile Money on Ericsson Converged Wallet solution, MTN Ghana will continue to explore more strategic partnershipsthat seek to continually enhance customer experience.
